Car and Driver recently reviewed the 2012 VW Passat, and they had plenty of great things to say. The 2012 Passat has been earning quite a few accolades lately from the press, and seemingly adoring public. Motor Trend called it their Car of the Year, while Cars.com gave it a Best of 2012 top honor.
Now, it seems it is Car and Driver's turn to dish out the compliments after a thorough road test. The results? By stretching the Passat's wheelbase, VW has created one of the roomiest, if not the most dramatic-looking sedans in the class. The brakes are predictable and linear in feel, and though the pedal gains a bit of travel under hard use, performance never seems to suffer.
They were also impressed that it is 100% built by and designed for Americans, pleased with the level of refinement and impressed by the significant price cut over the last generation model.
